Services of Ex-Councillors To Be Recognised
j i Two members of " the Levin JBorough council who retired at the last election in November, 1947, Miss H. E. Bowen and Mr. F. E. Parker, are to have their long service to the borough recognised in a suitable manner. Miss Bowen was a member for 12-i- years and Mr. Parker for 34 years? Both have i-played a valuable part in the I administration of the borough over that period, and in addition they have served the town well on other bodies and community organisations. The present council is instituting the matter and subscriptions towards presentations are at present being invited. Those citizens desiring to associate themselves with the expression of apprieciation of the services of Miss Bowen and Mr. Parker may leave eontributions at "The Chronicle" office or Levin Borough Council office.
