Hangman Keeps Date With 21 Nazis

Received Fridav, 10.35 a.m. BERLIN, Jan. 29. Britain 's official executioner, Albert Pierrepont, has commenced Ihe hangings in Hamelin Prison of 21 German war criminals, including 14 Gestapo men convicted at Stalag Luft III of murders in Mareh, 1944, in which two New Zealand, four Australian and 44 ' Aliied air force officers were killed after an eseatse bid. It is the biggest collective execution ever to have been conducted in the British zone.
