An Irdian mandore (foreman) 1 told a magistrate t oday that because he refused to jcin a rubber workers' union or pay a fme, three Indian members of the union had threatened to "sever his neck, break his gold teeth" or "take. his moustache." The Magistrate senterced one unionist to a month's imprisonment and fined the other two.
