j — i — , ■ • ANNUAL MEETING HELD IN LEVIN At the fifth'. annual meeting of the Levin Ladies' Bowling Club, held recently, ; the president (Mrs. Hartstonge) reported that the 1946-47 seasoh had been a most suceessful onCj and considerabU equipment for, "the maintenance of the greens had been. acquired. Generous donations from members of local clubs had enabled the ladies' club to buy a new roller in time for the opening of the season. To all who had helped by donations, and who had spent time working in the interest of the club's prosperity, the president extended her thanks. During the year the green had been kept in splendid order by the greenkepef, Mr. L. Bowden. Before retiring from the chair, the president presented trophies to the winners of the various competitions. The election of offlcers resulted as follows: — Patron: Mr. H. B. Burdekin; president: Mrs. W. Lett; vice-president : Mrs. Parton; secretary-treasurer: Mrs. Stevens; eommittee: Mesdames Hartstonge, Lacey, Moss, Gardner, Forster, Gibson and Wingfield; match eommittee : Mesdames Gibson, Lacey and Forster; delegates to the centre: Mesdames Lacey and Stevens; honorkry auditor: Mr. H. L. Jenkins. The meeting decided that the club should remain affiliated to the Manawatu and West Coast Ladies' Bowling Centre. ■
