MOUTOA WOMEN'S DIVISION
The- February meeting of the Moutoa branch of the W.D.F.F. was held in the Moutoa Hall recently, and was attended by a large rcpresentation of members. A welcome was extended to Mrs. Sanson, Junr., a visitor from Masterton. The secretary, Mrs. T. Fuller, read reports of the Paddy's market and children's Christmas party held in December. Mrs. Fuller stated that both these functions had been successful and a considerable sum ha.d been handed over to the Moutoa Young Farmers' Club as its share of the Paddy's market. Extracts from the minutes of the quarterly meeting of the Manawatu executive, held at Levin, were also read by the secretary. Three' social competit.lons were held during the afteLioon and attracted considerable interest. The monthly competition for the best bloom resulted as follows: Mrs. G. Barber 1, Mrs. Fuller 2, Miss McDonald 3. A delightful afternoon tea was .served by the hostesses, Mesdames G. Barber, L. Williams and A. Wilsom Many letters of appreciation from people in England and Scotland, including one from a children's home, thanking the division for food parcels. were received.
