AUCKLAND, Jan. xi. Another ease of a man who is believed to have died as a result of faHing asleep in a room in which a gas riiig had been left turned on after the gas supplv had been cut oll at the works as an eeonomy nieasure occuned todav. The victim was John Charles Worknian, aged (>2, a singje man and a t'urmer, who lived alone in a room at Wliitaker Place. The proprietor of the liouso said deceased had a gas ring ni liis rooui. He and liis wife could smell the escaping gas, but tlie door of Mr. Worknian 's room was locked and 011 lookiug through tlie window they saw him lving 011 tlie bed.
